Designer’s Notes

The Mountain Smock continues to be in the Fall/Winter collections with a detail update – the FW18 version features a full zip front closure.  Inspired by the 1950’s French mountain troops’ smock jacket, it features a French seam construction which requires more labor-intense work yet brings a very clean internal look.  Besides that, buttons on front pockets are hidden and stitch lines are eliminated so that this jacket gets more sophisticated and offers a modern minimalism look.
